Dotty led the delegates in a series of exciting activities that demonstrated essential organizational skills. The delegates began by writing down all the activities and responsibilities they had on their plates, on an actual plate. A PowerPoint presentation introduced students to the essential skills of organization. They learned about time management, organizational tools (calendars, lists, notebooks, post-its, etc.), approaching each day with a positive attitude, and creating goals. To establish the importance of goal setting, Dotty engaged the delegates in an activity where they were to write one of their goals on a slip of paper and place it in a balloon. The balloons were mixed up, and everyone had to choose a new balloon. Delegates were to contact that person in the future to check up on the progress they are making towards their goal. It emphasized the point that you always need extra support.

In round two of the seminars, delegates discussed the proper ways of planning and event or activity in their school. Students were broken up into groups and given a scenario in which to plan. An example was: increase American pride in your school by planning an event to get the students involved. Delegates filled out an organizational planning sheet and created a mock proposal. Then, one group was chosen to simulate the steps of presenting their event proposal to the administration. The color group advisers played the part of the admin. Once the students finished presenting the proposal, the rest of the group provided them with feedback. Afterwards, delegates participated in an activity in which they were given a group of different objects, each representing an hour of the day. They threw these objects at a box based on how they spent their time. The majority of students ended up with little to no time left over. Overall, the organization seminar taught the participants the essential need to keep themselves organized in order to succeed as a leader.
